Lookin, Inc. develops high-performance terahertz scanners for in-line quality control of battery and fuel cell electrodes.
Lookin, Inc. was founded in 2019 based on a breakthrough terahertz transceiver technology that was previously developed by Prof. Jarrahi and Dr. Yardimci at the University of California Los Angeles. The company uses this technology to develop high-performance terahertz scanners for non-invasive, non-contact in-line quality inspection of lithium-ion battery electrodes and fuel cells. Our terahertz scanners provide 1000-times higher dynamic range compared to the state-of-the art terahertz scanners, enabling quality control inspections with significantly higher sensitivity and speed.
